The whole difference between Vision Magazine and many of its contemporaries is that it simply covers so many areas in one magazine..So, having fortified myself with a cup of Earl Grey and a family sized Mars Bar, I shall try to eleqeuntly put into words a magazine which has had me at a loss for them!!
In the world of new age magazines, at only a year old, Vision Magazine is a baby amongst them and as such has a very small (and fiercly dedicated) team producing this monthly gem. However, what this magazine lacks in age and manpower is more than made up for with the guts, hardwork, determination, diversity and heart that is jam packed into every page!
From Wicca to Woodchimes, Angels to Atlantis, Healings to Hauntings, Vision covers more topics in the psychic, mystic and holistic arena than you can shake a (broom) stick at. However, more important than that...this magazine genuinely has a 'soul' and you can literally feel it as you go from page to page of thought out and heartfelt copy.
The passion of the team really does come across and whilst other magazines are happy to simply skim the surface of many topics with marshmellow editorial and glossy pictures, Vision shows its courage by digging deeper and getting its hands dirty to unearth the facts to the feature....not unlike the comparison between Felicity Kendal staying glamourous in the garden of 'The Good Life' to Charlie Dimmocks sheer earth mothers' boundless energy literally breastfeeding next springs buds!
The regular feature 'themes' are the Paranormal, Ancient Cultures, Spiritual Awareness, Holistic Healing, Astrology and different articles are found within these sections each month. Add to that the regular 'Visionaries' reports from haunted locations, this month's horoscope, dream dictionary, Coven Corner giving regular 'spells' and you can see the plethora of topics that are covered.
To concluce, this magazine is about bringing fascinating and insightful copy to those already on their own paths of 'enlightenment'. It is NOT about '..and this month's must have psychic colour fashion is...!!'
If you are looking for a glamorous glossy which is more about being a trendy accessory than a 'must read' magazine, then this is not for you. However, if you are open minded and genuinely interested in the myriad of topics that the New Age can cover, then this is £2.95 well spent in a month.
Perhaps I'm psychic myself...as I have a 'vision' that this wonderful magazine is going to go from strength to strength!
